Vision Correction Center
Trusted expertise to safely care for your eye health.

ECHO ICL preserves 100% of the cornea while implanting a specially designed lens between the iris and the crystalline lens to correct refractive error. A wide range of lens sizes enables personalized surgery for each patient, with corrected vision evident immediately after the procedure.

UV Protection
The lens material contains UV-blocking agents that protect the eye from ultraviolet radiation.
Biocompatible Material
The hydrophilic HEMA material is a next-generation polymer engineered for biocompatibility with the eye.
Fast Recovery
No iridotomy required; a small corneal incision allows rapid lens insertion and very quick recovery. In addition, because there is no corneal tissue loss, it does not cause or worsen dry eye.
What is ICL?
A Vision Correction Option Designed to Preserve the Cornea
An Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) is a specially designed lens inserted between the iris and the natural crystalline lens, preserving both the cornea and the crystalline lens. Unlike LASIK or LASEK, ICL does not ablate the cornea — it places a precisely calibrated lens inside the eye to correct vision.
Cornea preserved — safe by design
From mild to extreme refractive errors, patients can achieve clear vision through implantable contact lens surgery. If side effects are a concern, the procedure is fully reversible by removing the lens.
Are you a good candidate for ICL?

- Mild to extreme myopia
- When LASIK / LASEK is not possible
- Cornea too thin relative to the refractive error
- Large pupil size at night
- Severe dry eye syndrome
- Planning to live abroad within 1 month after surgery
ICL Surgical Procedure
STEP 1Apply topical anesthetic eye drops to begin. (No general anesthesia)
STEP 2Create a 3mm incision on the corneal periphery.
STEP 3Insert the ICL using a specialized lens injector.
STEP 4Use a hook to position the lens behind the iris. No suturing required.
STEP 5Secure the lens between the iris and crystalline lens to complete the procedure.

The Clearest Sight
Clearer and sharper vision

Thicker lens with cylindrical aperture
Over 14% light loss
ConventionalThinner lens with conical aperture
Under 10% light loss
ECHOThe conical structure dramatically reduces glare and halos for clearer, sharper vision.
The thin 0.08mm lens reduces light-interference glare as light passes through the center hole.
How is ECHO different from conventional lenses?
| Feature | Conventional Lens | ECHO Lens |
|---|---|---|
| Center hole | No center hole; two holes located on the upper optical zone | IPCL V2.0 has a 0.38mm-diameter center hole plus two optical-zone holes for improved aqueous flow |
| Center thickness | Optical zone center thickness 100μm Varies by diopter | Optical zone center thickness 80μm Consistent across diopters Reduces light-interference glare (0.08mm) |
| Haptic design | Same rigid hardness as other lenses Requires precise White-to-White measurement for accurate intraocular placement | Flexible, elastic haptics specially crafted 0.5mm error tolerance |
| IOP rise | Possible IOP increase when iridotomy is not performed | IOP rise risk due to lens is very low |
| Endothelial cell density loss | Potential endothelial loss when iridotomy is not performed | Reduced endothelial loss vs V1 model |
| Optical zone diameter | 6.2mm | 6.6mm |
Lens Types for ICL
Through 7 Holes System
Thinner optical-zone center

*Optical-zone center hole
The conical center hole of ECHO lens improves on the cylindrical center hole used in conventional lenses by widening the rear over the front, making aqueous flow much smoother and dramatically reducing glare and light scatter.
▷ Thinner optical-zone center -0.08mm ▷ First domestic conical structure — front 380μm, rear 420μm
EVO+ AQUA ICL
A new-concept ICL — no iridotomy required
EVO+ AQUA ICL uses a new-concept lens developed by U.S. company STAAR, enabling implantable contact lens surgery without the need for iridotomy.
With conventional ICL, an iridotomy was performed before surgery to facilitate aqueous humor flow. EVO+ AQUA ICL features a 360 µm hole at the center of the lens that allows aqueous humor to circulate freely inside the eye, greatly reducing the burden of performing a pre-surgery iridotomy and minimizing the side effects caused by it.
Maintaining smooth aqueous humor flow may help reduce the risk of complications associated with elevated intraocular pressure.
Artiflex
Small-incision, iris-fixated phakic lens

Artiflex / Veriflex, like the Artisan lens, can be fixed to the iris; however, unlike the rigid Artisan lens, Artiflex is made of a soft material so a smaller corneal incision can be created during implantation.
After years of clinical experience, it received European CE approval in 2005 and is widely used today in Europe and Japan as a proven, stable procedure with excellent vision-correction outcomes; the small incision also enables fast patient recovery and very high satisfaction.
It complements the limitations of the conventional Artisan lens implantation: the smaller incision markedly reduces increases in astigmatism, no suturing is required for faster recovery and higher satisfaction, and the shorter operative time minimizes corneal damage.
In particular, the Anti-Glare(AG) treatment on the lens edge significantly reduces nighttime glare compared with the Artisan lens.
※ A pre-op precision examination determines surgical eligibility and lens specifications based on each patient's eye size and condition; lenses are custom-ordered and a single-eye procedure typically takes about 5–10 minutes.
※ Post-op night glare and dry eye may occur, and rarely (about 1%) cataract or glaucoma may develop. In rare cases, the lens may need to be replaced or removed if the size does not match.
