Aju Business Daily reporter Lee Jun-hyuk — The Nexen Heroes professional baseball team will hold a “JC Bitsomang Eye Clinic Day” event during its game against the SK Wyverns at Mokdong Baseball Stadium in Seoul on the afternoon of May 31.

To mark the event, Dr. Gyung Bai Choi of JC Bitsomang Eye Clinic, an ophthalmic surgical institution and sponsor of the Nexen Heroes, will take the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Approximately 500 employees and patients of JC Bitsomang Eye Clinic are also expected to attend the game at Mokdong Baseball Stadium and cheer for the team.

During a special event held during the stadium’s cleaning break, one winner will receive a complimentary vision correction procedure voucher.

JC Bitsomang Eye Clinic also plans to provide vision correction procedures to people from underserved communities, with the number of recipients corresponding to the number of home runs hit by Nexen players during the game.

The Nexen Heroes described their sponsor, JC Bitsomang Eye Clinic, as
“a medical institution specializing in cataract, retinal and vision correction surgery, with five ophthalmic surgical specialists providing care.”

The team added that the clinic carries out medical outreach programs in Korea and overseas more than six times each year under its motto, “A Hospital Committed to Mission Work.”
