The Seoul Branch of the Korean Disabled Veterans Association, headed by Koo Bon-uk, held a medical cooperation agreement ceremony with five private hospitals to support veterans’ families and young wounded veterans in Seoul.

Under the agreement, veterans’ families and young wounded veterans will receive discounts ranging from 10 percent to 40 percent on medical services not covered by Korea’s National Health Insurance.

Participating medical institutions include 9988 Hospital in Seongdong-gu, serving eastern Seoul; Gangseo Himchan Hospital in Gangseo-gu, serving western Seoul; Seoul Segyero Hospital in Songpa-gu, serving southern Seoul; JC Bitsomang Eye and Internal Medicine Clinic in Yeongdeungpo-gu, serving central Seoul; and Geumgang Long-Term Care Hospital in Incheon for patients requiring extended nursing and medical care.

Koo Bon-uk, head of the association’s Seoul Branch, said, “It is deeply meaningful to establish this medical cooperation program for veterans’ families and young wounded veterans. I sincerely thank the participating hospitals, and I believe this partnership will help strengthen the pride of veterans’ families while significantly easing their financial burden.”
