On December 7, Dr. Gyung Bai Choi, Medical Director of JC Bitsomang Eye Clinic and Internal Medicine Clinic, received a commendation from the Mayor of Seoul at the 9th Seoul Social Welfare Awards ceremony held at Seoul City Hall.

The Seoul Social Welfare Awards recognize individuals selected through a rigorous screening process from various fields of social welfare. Candidates include social welfare professionals, members of the Seoul Metropolitan Council and district councils, local government officials, public servants, and members of the general public.

Dr. Gyung Bai Choi received the commendation in recognition of his significant contribution to creating a people-centered Seoul that benefits everyone through his dedicated service to local residents, driven by exceptional passion and a strong sense of responsibility.

He has also received a commendation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade for overseas volunteer service, a medical service award, and an award from the Minister of Strategy and Finance on Taxpayer’s Day. In addition, he continues to participate in overseas medical missions and volunteer activities each year, sharing light and hope with people affected by visual impairment.
